About
WaistLog is a personal tracking tool to monitor the evolution of your weight, waist circumference and calories, day after day.
Waistlog, its history
Waistlog was created by a computer development engineer, assisted by several artificial intelligences. It all started from a personal database for tracking foods, their consumption and the calories they provide to the body.
The creator had used competing solutions himself on Android or PC, but each time he preferred to go back to his own solution.
Originally, Waistlog was more of a database that allowed observation of weight-calorie trends and enabled the creator to draw his own conclusions.
Thanks to artificial intelligences, he decided to create a solution identical to the base version, but more advanced and featuring a companion driven by artificial intelligence intervening in different areas of the site.
For example, the creator's great frustration was the huge databases or the difficulties in finding information on products. He therefore integrated Companeo (the name of the AI on the site) into the food addition process to find the nutritional values of foods. Of course there is a possible error rate, but for the creator it is absolutely useless to have a 100% reliable value; a sufficiently reliable value for concrete tracking without frustration is enough. No more reading hundreds of foods on web pages only to cause uncertainty and discouragement!
Waistlog has become a very simple solution for personal tracking. Waistlog will certainly evolve, but it is at a functional stage and meets the real needs of users.
What WaistLog does
You log what you eat, your measurements and your weight; WaistLog calculates your day's balance, plots curves and helps you stay on track, without judgment. An integrated artificial intelligence assistant (Companeo) can answer your questions about nutrition and tracking, and "Health" sheets provide general reference points.
Waistlog gives access to a BASIC CATALOGUE of foods so you can create your recipes. There are no branded products, only basic products. Users have their own catalogue that they can evolve as they wish.
At the beginning, the user will need a bit of time to have all the foods and recipes they eat, but it is a pleasant investment that also allows you to reflect on your own diet.
A tool, not medical advice
WaistLog provides neither diagnosis nor treatment. For any health question, talk to a doctor or a dietitian.
